Use the right Dubai Land Department service for the detail you need to change. A phone number update is different from a name change on a title deed.
1. Change your phone number or email
Sign in to the DLD website or Dubai REST with UAE Pass. Open your profile, choose Edit Profile, and update your mobile number or email. Keep these details current because Dubai REST uses the contact data saved in the DLD system.
2. Change the details in your DLD owner file
Use DLD's Amendment of details of a person or entity service when an owner file needs an identity update. An individual normally needs an Emirates ID. A non-resident normally needs a valid passport.
DLD says this service is done through a Real Estate Services Trustee Centre. The government service is free. If the update is a separate request, the service partner fee is AED 20 plus VAT. DLD lists a service time of about 20 minutes.
3. Change identity details on the title deed
Use Title Deed Modification for a correction to the owner's name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, or place of birth on the title deed.
Visit a Real Estate Services Trustee Centre or the DLD main office. Bring your Emirates ID. A non-resident should bring a valid passport. A legal power of attorney may be used if the owner cannot attend. DLD lists AED 250 for the title deed, AED 10 knowledge fee, and AED 10 innovation fee. The listed total is AED 270. The new title deed is sent by email after approval.
If you are outside the UAE or cannot use the app
Call DLD on 800 4488 for the right route. You may need a legal power of attorney or a visit to a trustee centre. Do not send your passport, Emirates ID, or title deed to an unknown person on WhatsApp.
Check the update
Sign in to Dubai REST and check that the property appears under the right owner profile. If you need a formal check, DLD also offers a Detailed Property Report. It can show property, owner, and mortgage data held in the system.
What to take with you
- Original Emirates ID, or a valid passport for a non-resident
- The property number or title deed
- Proof of the correct detail
- A legal power of attorney if someone acts for the owner
